Kate Coulter is a third-year student at the University of California Santa Barbara's College of Letters & Sciences, where she is pursuing a degree in Environmental Studies (BA) and getting her certification in the Technology Management Program. She is an esteemed fellow of the University of California Santa Barbara's Bren School of Environmental Sciences and Management, a selective program designed for Environmental Studies students who show professional promise. Her interest in Technology Management stems from her desire to pursue a career at the intersection of environmental issues and business practices. She aims to leverage new technologies to further understand how corporations can combat environmental externalities using data analysis and predictive modeling. Ms. Coulter has a diverse range of work experience, including her time in Waialua, Hawaii, where she focused on outreach communications for family farms, and in Madrid, Spain, where she specialized in big data analytics at Universidad Carlos III. Upon completion of her undergraduate studies, she intends to apply to graduate school to further her knowledge of sustainability practices through an MBA program that progresses her towards a career in the corporate sustainability sector.
